Our Year in Review: 2004

January

San Diego, California

San Diego is a place that makes you say WOW! everything there is great. We had a fun time at the “world famous San Diego Zoo”
Cabrillo National Monument is a place of great historic value and some fantastic views of the San Diego coast.
Lynn’s brother Don came to visit for New Year’s. We toured around town.


March,

Arizona

We were very lucky to find a BLM spot at Mittry Lake in Yuma Az.. When we were leaving are inverter quit and it took weeks to get it fixed. We made it to Cottonwood,Az. some nearby attractions include Tuzigoot National Monument and Montezuma’s Castle. These are ancient dwellings of the puebloan people.

April-Arizona
We spent Easter with Andre’s Aunt and Uncle in Sedona. We headed to the Grand Canyon for 2 weeks. Andre took the girls hiking to the bottom of the canyon and stayed 2 nights and hiked back up.

May-Arizona/Colorado
Lake Powell, Az. was a breathtaking area. Then to Mesa Verde, Co. to see the most famous of all the ruins. Gillian went to Argentina with Andre’s parents

June-Oregon/Washington
We drove all the way to Portland, Oregon and then to a small town nearby called Grays River in Washington to buy an ultralight airplane that Andre’s been dreaming about for a long time. We wound up spending the whole summer with these nice people David and Colleen parked on their farm with a 1000 ft grass runway.

July-Washington
We volunteered at the local computer center and became part of this small town community.

August-Washington
We followed the Lewis and Clark trail up the Columbia River and went to all the museums and Fort Clatsop.

September-Washington
We toured Mount St. Helens 2 days before the volcanic activity started.

October-Washington/South Carolina
We got the call from the “Wife Swap” that we were chosen to be on the show. Went thru all the interviews and test and were told they wanted us in South Carolina for filming in 10 days. We drove 3100 miles across the country. We stopped in Omaha,Ne. for dinner with Andre’s brother and in Hendersonville, Nc. with Lynn’s Aunt and Uncle for lunch. But basically we drove 14 hour days for 6 days straight. We had a blowout 100 miles from are destination.

November-Florida
We finished filming the show and were able to get back to a normal life. We spent Thanksgiving with Lynn’s brother and family in Fort Lauderdale.

December-Florida
We are staying with friends on their farm. They are in the final stages of building their house.
We celebrated Talia’s birthday on the beach with a barbecue. And Christmas with close friends.
